African Olive Country Estate, is a privately owned establishment situated a mere 1 km from Parys town centre on tarred road.  The estate forms part of the gateway to the Domeland – the Vredefort Dome World Heritage site - , a natural wonder of ± 300 km in diameter, the result of 2km asteroid ( about the size of Table Mountain), that collided with earth some 2020 million years ago.

African Olive Country Estate is situated within walking distance to the breathtaking Vaal River and conveniently close to all corporate and privately run establishments along the Kopjieskraal road and the banks of the Vaal River.

The estate boasts 5 Ha of natural Domeland.  We may not be positioned next to the mighty Vaal River however we do have the Vaal River Canal passing through the estate, offering you as our guest, a peaceful tranquil country atmosphere.  The Estate is a working farm.  Enjoy the beauty of nature together with the farm animals such as cattle, chickens, guinea fowl, a lazy white cat and an over friendly fox terrier called Patches. There are plenty of wild birds too, so bring your binoculars.

The estate presently boasts 2 exclusive self catering guest cottages ideally situated for couples, but can accommodate up to 4 persons.  Ideal for the weekend break away.

Two delightfully furnished rooms accommodating 2 persons in each are also available.  These too are equipped for self catering and offer the basic comforts of every home.  It’s ideal for travelers and business persons.
